Bigger or Smaller teaches children to compare numbers with a hungry crocodile that always opens its mouth toward the bigger side, just like the greater than (>) and less than (<) signs. Each question shows two sides: the child counts the objects or reads the numbers, picks the right sign (>, < or =), and watches the crocodile eat the bigger side. There are 15 levels in five groups: counting objects, small numbers, numbers to 100, simple addition and subtraction, and putting numbers in order on the stairs by dragging or tapping. There is no timer, and digits can be shown as Arabic-Indic (١٢٣) or Western (123).
The game builds number sense and teaches the meaning of the >, < and = signs from early school years, while practising counting, place value (tens and ones), addition and subtraction, and ordering numbers from smallest to biggest and back, all in a playful way with no time pressure.
What age is it for?
Roughly ages 4 to 10: the first levels use counting for little ones, and the later levels use numbers up to 100 plus addition and subtraction.
How do I get 3 stars?
Finish a level with no wrong answers; one or two mistakes give 2 stars, and more give 1 star.
Can the numbers be shown in Arabic digits?
Yes. In Arabic mode, press the ١٢٣ button at the top to switch to Arabic-Indic digits, and press it again to go back to 123.
