"What Comes Next?" is an educational game for children aged 4 to 10 that trains them to spot patterns. A colorful train arrives with pictures, colors, shapes or numbers in its carriages, arranged in a repeating pattern, and one carriage shows a question mark. The child looks at what repeats, then picks the piece that comes next or the missing piece in the middle of the train, by tapping it or dragging it onto the carriage. There are 6 levels with 8 freshly generated puzzles each, starting with easy patterns like 🍎🍌🍎🍌, moving on to growing patterns, and ending with number jumps like 2, 4, 6, 8 and turning arrows, with up to 3 stars per level.
The game builds logical thinking and attention to detail, and prepares for maths through counting, skip counting up and down, and recognising shapes and colors — key pre-school and primary skills.
What age is it for?
Ages 4 to 10; the first levels use pictures and colors for little ones, the last ones use number jumps for older kids.
Are the puzzles the same every time?
No, puzzles are generated randomly each time, so a level can be replayed with new puzzles.
How are stars earned?
One mistake or fewer gives 3 stars, 2 to 4 mistakes give 2 stars, more gives 1 star, and finishing a level unlocks the next one.
